Vision Statement

We envision a modern, fair, just, and accessible health care system that fully integrates the wisdom and knowledge embodied in traditional approaches to physical, mental, spiritual and community wellness.

MD Ayurveda is among the first in the United States to utilize Traditional Āyurvedic Medicine (TĀM) in its full scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed and board-certified physician.

This union is a model for future collaborative facilities in Āyurveda and Integrative Medicine both in the United States and around the world. MD Ayurveda will assist in demonstrating TĀM as an effective, safe, and complete medical system. We will show that TĀM can be effectively and affordably integrated into modern, biomedical healthcare systems.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to establish the safety, effectiveness, affordability, and sustainability of Traditional Āyurvedic Medicine approaches in the prevention, treatment, and reversal of chronic diseases. We aim to optimize individual wellbeing and public health.

MD Ayurveda makes it possible for a licensed physician to work with highly experienced Traditional Āyurvedic Medicine clinicians to provide Āyurvedic clinical services in their full scope of practice in the United States.

About MD Ayurveda's Staff

At MD Ayurveda, we work in a collaborative environment to ensure your program is a success. Each day includes interaction with our staff for a completely guided and supported experience.

Remy Coeytaux, M.D., Ph.D. oversees your Pañchakarma program. He performs and interprets diagnostic tests as needed, manages medications, monitors safety throughout the course of your Pañchakarma treatment, and communicates with your primary care physician and other members of your health care team when appropriate. After Pañchakarma concludes, Dr. Coeytaux assists in coordinating the transition of your medical care back to your primary care physician and other members of your health care team. As a family doctor and integrative medicine physician, Dr. Coeytaux has learned how to communicate effectively with a variety of different health care specialists, each of whom may have different perspectives.

An Āyurvedic specialist or Vaidya assesses your health according to Traditional Āyurvedic Medicine (TĀM). A comprehensive consultation with your Vaidya determines the course of your personalized treatment. Your Vaidya directs your Pañchakarma process with the help and support of a staff of Āyurvedic practitioners and Pañchakarma technicians.

Āyurvedic practitioners are assistants to the Vaidyas. They are trained in the language and concepts of TĀM. Āyurvedic practitioners provide you with guidance throughout the process and communicate with Dr. Coeytaux as you undergo your personalized Pañchakarma program.

Pañchakarma technicians are meticulously trained in TĀM techniques for clinical practice. They work alongside Vaidyas and practitioners, and together they provide the Āyurvedic body treatments of your Pañchakarma program. Pañchakarma technicians help to ensure your Pañchakarma experience is optimal, supportive, and safe.

Another team of technicians assists with the management of your Āyurvedic formulations and specially prepared foods which are essential to your Pañchakarma program.
